On the occasion of World Health Day – April 7, 2018, a ceremony will be held on the topic: “Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere. Health for All! “on April 5, 2018 (Thursday) starting at 11 am in Best Western Tourist Hotel, Skopje, conference room “Ambassador”. The ceremony is organized by the Secretariat of the South East European Health Network (SEEHN) and the Regional Health Development Center for Public Health Services based in the Public Health Institute of the Republic of Macedonia.
At the meeting, will speak Dr Vladimir Miloshev, a national associate with the Health Network of SEE, Dr. Mira Dashic, Director of the SEEHN Secretariat,. Dr. Shaban Memeti, Director of the Institute for Public Health and prof. Dr. Elena Kosevska, Director of the Regional Health Development Center for Public Health Services.
The goal of the ceremony is to convey the messages of the WHO to the member states for improving the availability of health services to anyone and everywhere, as well as to inform the people and citizens about the role and functioning of the SEE Health Network, the role of the Ministry of Health and the Institute for public health, as well as the activities of the Regional Health Center for development of public health services in order to strengthen them in the future period at the regional level.
On the event are invited the Minister of Health, Assoc. Dr. Venko Filipce, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikola Dimitrov, representatives of the Ministry of Health, the European Union, the Council of Europe, the United Nations organizations in the country (WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDP and others), the Embassies of the countries of Europe, the United States, China, the World Bank, the NATO office, the ECPD (European Regional Institute for Development Studies), the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), the MARRI, REC (Regional Center for the Environment for Central and Eastern Europe ), The Network of Occupational Health at SEE, HOPE, National Contact persons with the Health Network for certain areas of health, Studiorum, IOM (International Organization for Migrants), etc., a total of about 70 invited guests.
