The usefulness of regular physical activity

It has been proven that sedentary lifestyle is a risk factor for many chronic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of death in the developed world. On the other hand, the active life is directly linked to numerous social and psychological benefits and is associated with longer life expectancy, because, people who practice regular physical activity live longer. Regular physical activity helps to improve overall health and physical fitness and reduce the risk of developing several diseases and conditions:

  • prevents development of high blood pressure (hypertension), and helps to maintain blood pressure within desirable limits to patients suffering from hypertension
