Information about the activity performed in Division of Bacteriology

In the division of bacteriology, bacteriological diagnostics of materials is carried out according to clinical and epidemiological indications. Microbiological control of non-living environment is carried out: microbiological correctness of air, microbiological correctness of dry and wet sterilization with biological indicators and microbiological correctness of non-living environment - objects and surfaces.

Particular attention is paid to registering and monitoring the resistance of bacterial strains to antimicrobial agents.

In the laboratory, bacteriological analyzes are carried out for the presence of bacteria in persons who are subject to sanitary examinations in accordance with the Law on Health Care of the Republic of North Macedonia.
