Information about the activity performed in Division for Contaminants and Ecotoxicology

In the Division for Contaminants and Ecotoxicology, pesticide residues are determined in the following matrices: fruits and vegetables, water, cereal products, tobacco, flower and cannabis oil in accordance with the regulations for pesticide residues Official Gazette of RNM, no. 95 and the European pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur. 2.8.13) for cannabis products. Analyzes are also carried out for the determination of mycotoxins in cereal products, dried fruit, nuts, spices and others in accordance with the regulations for contaminants Official Gazette of RNM, no. 227 and the European pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.2.8.18) for cannabis products. The equipment used for the tests is gas chromatography with different types of detectors (MS, ECD, FTD), then a fluorimeter and an ELISA reader.

The following methods are accredited:

  1. Determination of pesticides in water by gas chromatograph with mass detector (GC-MS);
  2. Determination of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables by gas chromatograph with mass detector (GC-MS);
  3. VICAM AflaTest fluorimetric procedure for the determination of total aflatoxins in peanuts, peanut products, almonds, apricot seeds, pistachios, hazelnuts and cashews;
  4. VICAM AflaTest fluorimetric procedure for the determination of total aflatoxins in cereal products and corn;
  5. VICAM AflaTest fluorimetric procedure for the determination of total aflatoxins in cannabis flower;
  6. ELISA method: determination of Total Aflatoxins in cereals and cereal products, nuts, dried fruits, spices, beer and oils;
  7. ELISA method: determination of Ochratoxin in cereal products, Beer and Wine;
  8. ELISA method: determination of Fumonisins in cereal products and beer;
  9. ELISA method: determination of Deoxynivalenol in cereal products and beer;
  10. ELISA method: determination of Zearalenone in cereal products and beer;
