Information about the activity performed in Division for Monitoring of Health and Rights of Vulnerable Groups

  1. participates in preparation and implementation of special programs for the control of noncommunicable diseases;
  2. determines priorities to meet the needs and improve the situation with non-communicable diseases of the population;
  3. provides qualitative, valid and up-to-date data about the state of non-communicable diseases;
  4. proposes measures to address the health needs of the population suffering from chronic non-communicable diseases;
  5. performs scientific research activity with an aim to assess/evaluate the risk of the occurrence of non-communicable diseases at the local, regional and national levels;
  6. prepares educational and promotional materials for prevention of non-communicable diseases of the population in all settings for the general public and mass media;
  7. carries out publishing activity by producing publications - information, reports, analyses and printing of health and educational materials (brochures, posters, leaflets, etc.);
  8. participates in educational activity and education of health personnel of all profiles;
  9. cooperates with state and international institutions by participation in joint projects and other types of activities (participation in working groups, commissions, etc.)
  10. monitors the health condition of all vulnerable groups (children, women, adolescents, youth, people with disabilities, migrants and the elderly);
  11. proposes measures to address the health needs of vulnerable groups;
  12. carries out scientific-research activity aimed at assessing the risk of diseases outbreaks of individual vulnerable groups at local, regional and national levels;
  13. conducts site visits in order to make expert-methodological assessment of preventive teams and vaccination points in the Republic of North Macedonia;
  14. conducts health-educational activity and education of families in rural areas and Roma communities about children’s health, vaccinations, safe motherhood, and adolescent health;
  15. prepares, prints/publishes and distributes guidelines for health workers and brochures for parents;
  16. cooperates with state and international institutions through joint projects and other activities (participation in working groups, commissions, etc.).
